They just had one back in September of 2020, so I doubt we can expect one anytime soon.

I'm looking forward to finding out I am part of whatever new sample of the year is. Last year Swede.

The one thing I'm pretty sure of is that, whenever it happens, it will probably be even less reasonable for me than the previous three updates.
Besides British-German-Catalan, ancestry includes smaller amounts of French, Irish, Swiss, Choctaw & another NA tribe, possibly Catawba. Avatar picture is: my father, his father, & his father's father; baby is my eldest brother.

I expect them to shore up the Scotland category, and thus expect many people's England & Northwestern Europe to increase.
AncestryDNA: 48% England & Northwestern Europe, 29% Scotland, 12% Germanic Europe, 11% Ireland
    23andMe (v5.9 - 50% Confidence phased with both parents): 70.9% British & Irish, 27.4% French & German, 0.8% Broadly Northwestern European,
    0.5% North African, 0.2% Senegambian & Guinean, 0.2% Angolan & Congolese

I am hoping/expecting my England & Northwestern Europe to increase. The last update gave me only 13% England, yet 42% Scotland. I think I should be roughly equal parts English and Scottish.

Personally I'd like to see an expansion of their genetic communities, especially Africa. We have one community in Africa and it's not even based on African DNA, Asians in South Africa
Ethnogene: 51.4% NW European, 21.6% W European, 10.1% Southeastern African, 9.5% Southeast Asian, 4.4% South Asian, 2% Scandinavian, 1% East African
    Papertrail @ 2xggrandparents: 37.5% London, 25% Dorset, 25% Mauritius, 6.25% Netherlands, 6.25% Hampshire

For the time being, until Ancestry expands their databases and can be more accurate, you can always try uploading your Ancestry raw data to programs like GEDmatch. It can be difficult to navigate at first, but it has various engines that will be much more accurate with regards to your specific ethnicity.

I think AncestryDNA is much more accurate than GEDmatch. Their database is also much bigger than any GEDmatch project.

Oh yes, definitely! Ancestry has a huge database of participants. I should have been clearer. Some of the tools on GEDmatch can allow for much more specific ethnicity assignment.
