What do you think about this technology?

Chineses are already experimenting to cure some genetical conditions with this technology.

What is very interesting ( I tell it humourously) is the case of Emmanuelle Charpentier. I heard on a radio recently that Crispr/cas9 was a
    great victory of french genetics
, because of the central role of Charpentier. Well, after her thesis at the Pasteur Institute in Paris in 1996, she left France for her post-doc works in the USA, and since that never worked in France ( she was in Austria, Germany, Sweden, never in France). For the friends who don't know, the french exclamation of victory is "cocorico!" ( the rooster call). In the case of Charpentier, the best victory shout would be "kåkårikå!"

edit: I wrote " since that never worked in France". Of course I wanted to mean "since then...". But "that never worked in France" is true too.

This will be booming in a couple of years, but first a big boy in the field needs to spend some dollars. I can see a lot of applications for this.

Interesting article about the use of that new technology to learn about human evolution based on ancient samples DNA : https://theconversation.com/evolutio...miIORjN1LTTmZY, there are a lot of possible excesses in the use of that technology though...
