What's particularly annoying is, if a close and important match only tested on one site and doesn't want to transfer or test again, yet did so years ago. So there is no way to do an optimal comparison, because no upload and no new test will cover the same SNPs. This can be really annoying, because as you can see, even a direct comparison of different versions from the same company misses a lot of the SNPs tested.

The reality is that these tests are only for fun and some people take them far too seriously in determining who they are. Autosomal technology is still in its infancy.

Thanks a lot for all your answers.

So, from what I understand, if I do test with let's say YSEQ WGS the data eventually will be put in 23andme format and therefore things would be the same, right?
There is no way to actually have a better format which wouldn't spoil the results of a WGS?
    Deep Ancestry: 63.2% AUT_LBK_N + 36.8% RUS_Vonyuchka_En @ 2.6339%
    Ancient: 89.0% ITA_Rome_Late_Antiquity + 11.0% HUN_Avar_Szolad @ 2.4649%

Can't you convert WGS data to 23andMe or Ancestry format with something like DNA Kit Studio? I think the output file will have all the SNPs from the WGS, not just the ones 23andMe/Ancestry test.
