    Simulating G25 Coordinates for Historical Populations

    Hello folks,

    I want to show you how it is possible to have an idea on the historical populations(the original structure is no longer found) genetic structures just by very simple method. I do not say it is %100 right, it depends on the population you use on the Source, and depends on the Target's admixture. So due to possible overlaps it is not %100 right, but still would give an idea. To give an example; i modelled Turkish_Nortwest10(I picked it due to it's high Central Asian heritage,high above Turkish average) , put Greeks, Bulgarians, Medieval Turkic samples on the source.

    Target: Turkish_Northwest:Turkish_Northwest10
    Distance: 1.6097% / 0.01609718 | R7P
    23.2 TUR_Ottoman*MA2195
    19.4 Greek_Trabzon
    15.2 Bulgarian
    12.0 Greek_Crete
    11.0 Greek_Cappadocia
    9.8 MNG_Early_Med_Uigur:OLN009
    9.4 KAZ_Karluk: DA230

    * * * * *
    Next Step, I added MA2195+OLN009+DA230 and completed them to 100 percentage (In accordance to their percentage) and simulated it's G25 coordinates. I also done same for Greek_Trabzon+Bulgarian+Greek_Crete+Greek_Cappadoc ia, in accordance with their percentage ratios and simulated it's coordinates too(as Greek_Nortwest_Anatolia_Simulated). In the images that below you can see their distances to Modern samples and Ancient individual samples. I also modelled them with basic HG & Farmer, so you can compare it to the some modern populations and to some Ancient individuals.

    Note: Northeast_Asian:CHN_Western_Liao_River_BA_o:91KLM2
    Siberian :RUS_Krasnoyarsk_BA:kra001
    East_Asian:CHN_Yellow_River_MN:WGM70 ( Sorry for the mistake i labelled it as Southeast_Asian)

    Note: About Roopkund samples: https://rdcu.be/ciHs7
    https://neoskosmos.com/en/149139/ske...ong-to-greeks/ ;
    I believe these Roopkund samples may have been Anatolian Greeks who have traveled there. Even one of the Roopkund sample(I6935) must be a Greek from Central Anatolia.

    Here what i tried for Megiddo outlier sample I10100

    I modelled Megiddo_o2_I10100 with those below,

    Target: Levant_Megiddo_MLBA_o2:I10100
    Distance: 3.0504% / 0.03050426
    25.8 Levant_Megiddo_MLBA
    25.0 UZB_Sappali_Tepe_BA_o
    21.0 UZB_Kokcha_BA
    14.6 IRN_Seh_Gabi_C
    9.2 RUS_Sintashta_MLBA
    3.0 KAZ_Botai
    1.4 UZB_Dzharkutan2_BA

    * * * *
    In order to find out how that outlier would look like without Megiddo_MLBA admixture, i extracted scored Megiddo_MLBA and additionally also extracted Seh_Ghabi_C and Megiddo_MLBA together, with some mathematics, i simulated their G25 coordinates,

    Distance to: Megiddo_o(Only_Megiddo_extracted)
    0.03587014 TKM_IA: DA382
    0.03982731 KAZ_Kangju: DA206
    0.04166265 KAZ_Kangju: DA121
    0.04307418 IRN_Hajji_Firuz_BA:I4243
    0.04314518 Yamnaya_UKR_Ozera_o:I1917

    Distance to: Megiddo_o(Megiddo&SehGhabi_extracted)
    0.03093133 KAZ_Katon_Karagay_LBA:I6709
    0.03203405 KAZ_Kangju: DA121
    0.03696097 Yamnaya_UKR_Ozera_o:I1917
    0.03867775 RUS_Late_Xiongnu_Sarmatian: DUU001
    0.03993604 RUS_Late_Xiongnu_Sarmatian:BUR003

    and here in the attached photo, you can compare it to Yamnaya, Sintashta, Kazakhastan_Katon_Karagay_LBA, Kangju samples average and Turkmenistan Iron Age sample DA382

    I recall that this was performed on a systematic basis for numerous Turkish populations in the forum's Turkish section.

    There's also a giant thread somewhere in the forum where Roopkund's results were analysed - Remains an unusual outcome IMO.

    I've never seen before, but cool, although I have been a member for a long time i was not active at this forum.I have hundreds of simulateds for different populations(Especially for Greeks, Iranians) , ancient samples, have been doing it since last 6 months, but haven't shared those to anywhere. interesting results i got. If someone interested in those, can pm me.

    Do you have any simulation/s for Bulgaria and Anatolian greek between 300 to 350 BC ?

    I'm interested, but not through PM, I barely have the space. Is there a reason you don't want to post them here in the thread?

    No reason, just more comfy there. What reason comes in your mind?
