    Early Indians:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ORylLlh0lpo

He says the early Sanskrit language came in contact with pre-Aryan language left a feature that is also common in Dravidian languages. Is there any evidence that Harappan language is related to Dravidian?

Another interesting thing he says is that the caste system in India created genetic differentiation between seperate villages. The genetic difference between 2 seperate villages in India are 2/3 times higher than the genetic difference between South and Northern Europeans. Had to look it up but is there a study that shows this?

Iravatham Mahadevan was quite influential in arguing that the IVC script is a form of Dravidian.

He seems reasonable and with good intentions but he primarily creates a narrative for political use. He may be correct but that is not necessarily the case.

He is correct about the caste system part. Depending on the village, you may come across tribals who score similar to this autosomally:

    Target: Paniya (Tribal from Kerala)
    Distance: 2.2970% / 0.02297006
    71.0 AASI_Simulated
    14.0 IRN_Ganj_Dareh_N
    8.2 RUS_MA1
    2.0 RUS_Sintashta_MLBA
    2.0 VNM_N
    1.4 KEN_Kakapel_3900BP
    0.8 WHG
    0.6 CHN_Amur_River_Xianbei_IA

vs. an upper-middle caste person from Kerala who scores similar to this:

    Target: Kerala
    Distance: 1.6735% / 0.01673476
    42.4 IRN_Ganj_Dareh_N
    34.6 AASI_Simulated
    9.0 RUS_Sintashta_MLBA
    7.0 TUR_Pinarbasi_HG
    5.0 RUS_MA1
    1.2 Levant_Natufian
    0.4 Han
    0.4 WHG

One is over 70% AASI, the other over 30%. Caste system in some ways prevented heavy mixing between different groups.

This is not surprising at all and it's true. People always underestimate how large of an impact endogamy has had on the genetics of South Asians. India is extremely genetically diverse.

2-3 times is too much. I think its at similar levels. Only multiracial or contact/fringe regions like Himalayas or North East India can have 2-3 times higher.

Tamil and UP Brahmins are at a distance of 15 from Irula/Pulliyar, UP Brahmins are at distance of 9 to Chamars. Spanish Castilia are at a distance of 9 to Swedish and 15 to Lithuanians. So, its similar level.
