    DF49 Big Y Results

There are now eight DF49 x DF23 Big Y results

Six of these share a novel SNP at 24079397 G to A

Three of these also share 22469685 C to A and a forth would most definitely have had this mutation as well if it was covered in his results.

The maximum GD @ 67 over the entire 24079397 G to A group is 34 and the minimum (excluding the two clearly related individuals) is 22

The maximum GD over the 22469685 C to A group is 32 with the same minimum as above.

The last two (one of which being myself) have a GD of 19 @ 67 loci and belong to a cluster I identified in 2009, we share eight novel SNPs and one deletion

    3851946 G to A
    6108926 G to A
    16367410 T to C
    16456423 T to C
    16551277 G to T
    17807641 C to A
    19109590 A to C
    21052738 T to G
    17079776 AG to A

I've just received the FGC results for Bill Harrison who represents the large Hopkins McCabe Cluster that L302 was found in, they are now a branch of 22469685 C to A

BTW If any moderators are following this could they do me a favour and edit the ancestral value for 24079397 from G to C

One day I might actually manage to make a post without including stupid mistakes !!

I know the feeling. I'm afraid I could never keep a job as a typist or a proof reader. Fortunately I usually catch my typos before the time to edit my posts expires. Unfortunately I cannot edit emails after they are sent!

My fave, sending emails to the wrong person : )

However in this case I can't edit the message because it's the start of the thread, apparently ?

Bum I'm making a mess of this, scrub the comment about mixing up the ancestral value of 24079397 and thank you to Bill Harrison for letting me know !!!

Roll on getting these mutations recognized on Ybrower I say, and SNP tested of course : )

We have another branching mutation to announce in DF49*.

Both Allison (kit no. B3231) and Harrison (kit no. 129036) share 19121014 C to A

Both these kits are also part of the 24079397 G to A & 22469685 C to A group.

Also Harrison is part of the large Hopkins McCabe Cluster that L302 was found in.

I've decided to opt for reporting mutations in the same format as MtDNA for the time being on the project results page otherwise it going to start getting very confusing.

So the ancestral value is followed by the position and ends with the derived value of the new mutation.

The last known DF49* result's just rolled in and it's a double six !!!!

too late to expand much but we've got a DF23- Z2976+ plus Z2983+ (apparently, only medium quality)

I feel I should drink to this this but I think I need go to bed instead (unfortunately) as I've work in the morning : ))

Anyhow hopefully participant will be sending me the RAW data shortly, us admin are no longer trusted to access this stuff willy nilly ????

Wow, An order for Z2976 just came in for the DF49 project !!!

I've looked at Y-browser and there's still no primers mentioned for it there so is this the first DF49 SNP to be made available because of Big Y ?

Anyhow, best of luck to the participant with this one : )

With regards to DF49 and BigY, did anyone from the WSW (Wales-Southwest England) cluster do BigY. I was looking at the diagram on DF49 project and I see that they are DF23+/Z2986+/Z2961- (going off Vaughan result)

    (R1b-DF41+)
    (MtDNA: U4d3)
