Results pre-update, I will post my updated results once they arrive. These results are also with my newest 23andme raw data, and I think the results are regionally more accurate than the ones with the old raw data.

I was under the impression that this update is restricted to those who have at least 10% of their ancestry from the Continent?

That’s what I seem to recall because I remember thinking I wasn’t going to get one. After they left out my southern ancestry in their last update. Leaving me with only 7.3% South Germanic.

Apparently they told Mariusz95 the same thing.

Aren’t you 100% British and Irish?

No email yet and no update. They greatly overestimated my "Great Britain" -- at the expense of much of my German, and all of my Alsatian, French, and Swiss -- probably by a factor of at least two. But even with that, they still show over 10% continental, in the form of 16% Northern German and 6.7% East Iberia.

My German should be a fair amount higher than LivingDNA's number. 23andMe's 48.2% "French & German" is probably not too far off, with both Germany (strongest affinity to Hesse) and Switzerland as "likely" matches. (In Switzerland my region of highest affinity is Grissons, and I know of at least one Swiss ancestor who was from Grissons.)

The "East Iberia" is from both of my maternal grandmother's grandfather's. Each of them immigrated separately from the island of Menorca, as a boys with their parents and siblings. So both of my grandmother's parents were half Spanish -- so I have two Spanish born 2nd great grandparents, or the equivalent of one Spanish born great grandparent. That's 12.5% on paper, but it's entirely possible I inherited less than that from these ancestors. (I could also have inherited more.)

MyHeritage's estimate for "Iberian" is actually pretty close to LivingDNA's, at 6.5%. But MyHeritage also estimates 1.9% "Greek and South Italian", which likely is also from the Menorcan ancestry.

At any rate, the total continental is over 10%, even using LivingDNA's very flawed numbers. Still no update.
Besides British-German-Catalan, ancestry includes smaller amounts of French, Irish, Swiss, Choctaw & another NA tribe, possibly Catawba. Avatar picture is: my father, his father, & his father's father; baby is my eldest brother.

My swab kit still has no update either and no email, my current continental percentage is ~86%. This seems to be a slow process. Oddly enough, if you upload your kit, for $19 you can get the update instantly!

This was REALLY bad results for you.

I agree on what you wrote. Looks like a simple oracle with best fit but not accurate results.
