    Tore Haklang was the co-king of Agder and one of king Harald Hårfagres opponents in the battle of Hafrsfjord (traditionally dated to 873AD, but more recent research put it closer to 900AD)

    There is some debate over his name.
    Snorre Sturlason gives him the name Tore Haklang in Heimskringla,
    but Torbjørn Hornklove uses only the name Haklang in his kvad (poem) Haraldskvadet (a poem honoring king Harald Hårfagre).
    Torbjørn Hornkloves source, based on The Fagrskinna saga, is probobly the poet Tjodolf fra Kvine.
