Slovincians (Leba Kashubs) - Protestant Slavs native to former Provinz Pommern

In this thread I will post autosomal results of Slovincians (a.k.a. Leba Kashubs) from the village of Kluki:

    https://muzeumkluki.pl/en/

In total there will be a sample size of at least n=3, but today the first person's results became available.

Slovincians are a sub-ethnic group, considered a subgroup of Kashubs, native to the Slovincian coast:

At first glance, his results are very similar as typical results of eastern Kashubians (Catholic Kashubians).

As you know, Tomeneable, Slovincians are basically Kashubians who were totally assimilated into the German culture. As such, I imagine they might have a higher Germanic component than some.

It doesn't seem to be the case based on this person's results (at least not compared to Catholic Kashubians from more eastern areas).

There are 2 more Slovincian volunteers to get tested (their results will probably be available around October of this year) but I don't expect their results to be very different. It seems that Slovincians were endogamous and married only within their own villages based on this person's GEDmatch "Are your parents related?" results:

"Evaluating Kit XM1216887 (*Kluki Slovincian A) for related parents:

This analysis indicates that your parents may be distantly related."

    ^^^
So his parents seem to be distant cousins, based on this tool.

What will happen if you split Polish_Kashubian-Pomerelia average into 2 averages - Polish-Kashubian and Polish-Pomerelia - and then run it again?

    Edit:

I think you are mixing simulated G25 populations with real G25 populations in one comparison - perhaps not a very good idea!

I think you are mixing simulated G25 populations with real G25 populations in one comparison - perhaps not a very good idea!
I merged these two into one with a reason. They behave too chaotic for this geographic position. I can see this in every map that I make.
If you don't like simulated averages, just remove them from the list.

Some simple calculations, maps and plots I make for free, but for more complicated maps, plots and calculations I ask for a donation. A similarity map is $5, and an admix breakdown decomposition modern or ancient is $10.

That's because they are very different from each other, and this is why they should not be merged.

They are close in terms of geography, but are different ethnically. Pomerelian sample is not Kashubian.

They should not be merged because they are two different ethnicities: Kociewie Pole vs. Kashubian.

Check - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kociewie (Kociewie is part of Pomerelia)

    =====

I was told by user Waldemar that Kociewians (such as his wife) generally did not mix with Kashubians.
