I would not be surprised if the L657+ Jews turn out to be Y2568+ too.

Seems so but Chhetris also brought the L1a2-M357 around current proportions of 7-8% (2 out of 28). Another Thakuri Kshatriya (Singh) also had it. So, the L1a2-M357 proportions is likely to increase even more in the Himalayas if more Chhetris/Thakuris are tested.

    Y928 is a Y6 line.
The three sampes include two Hazara and one Tajik.
Pretty close distrubution to Y7 (which looks to be a liitle more widespread). Y6 too is pan South Asian (Bangal, Punjab, Brahui, Baloch, Bihar, Nepal, Lanka, Andhra, etc.), plus Arabia (USE, Saudi, Yemen) , Iraq, Iran, and Thailand.

We would need to check their downstream SNPs to be sure.
But I too think the Chhetti may be more Rajput and Jat like.
The Rajput, Chechen, Jat, Iyer, Pathan, M357 seem related (based on their STRs).

On the other hand we have very deep basal lines too in South Asia. Eg. in Andhra HG03790 (shared with a Kazakh sample), Tamil Nadu, etc.
Also Arlus' (Chattisgarh) line splits very early. YF086028 https://www.yfull.com/tree/L-Y46452*/

One of the L-M357 guy's a Dangi, an Ekthariya Chhetri (single clan); they claim Rajput origin and patrilineal difference from the mainstream Bahuthariyas (multiple clan); Chauhan and Dikshit are also Ekthariyas. This Dangi clan is also shared with Pahadi Rajputs from Indian Himalayas. I thnk the Chhetri L-M357 came from the West Himalayas imo.

Sarla Dangi is a prominent Pahadi singer from Shimla, Himachal. One of her hit song. Pahadis in this video also look like us in terms of phenotypes.
