Well, one does not roll his eyes because of the nationality of the navigators, but rather because there is little to no evidence in the theories concerning them. Columbus certainly did not even know those people, and he was not even interested in America at first, but in Asia as we all know.

This is a very serious research project carried out by prestigious Spanish researchers and all those theories that had a documentary support including the Genoese, Norwegian, Greek and even Russian theories are veing investigated.

Thank God we have 100% certainty about the bones of Hernando Colón son of the Admiral and Beatriz Enriquez de Arana. These have been already analyzed and compared to those of Diego Colón (brother of the Admiral) and with the bones of V
Colón in Seville. The remains that were in the Dominixan Republic have also been compared. No one can deny without proof that these are the remains of Cristobal Colón

The result of the investigation is that no tombs have been opened in Genoa, Norway or Mallorca, but in Galicia, so everything points to a Spanish origin of the Admiral. Now we only have to wait and see if the conclusions are correct

Not, North America is not a different story, it´s the same story, because Leif Erickson landed to Greenland, settled a few people over there for a time and what else? NOTHING. Surely other western european sailors (portuguese, galician, basque...) reached America before Colón, but once again... what else? NOTHING.

October 12th 1492, three ships sent by Castile Kingdom landed to a new land, America, and February 28th 1493, La Pinta ship landed Baiona (Galicia) claiming about the arriving to new lands across the Atlantic Ocean all over Europe. September 25th 1493 a new expedition from Castile departures to the new lands across the Atlantic Ocean with 17 ships and 2.000 men. The rest is HISTORY, not a simple story.
