I get this and Australian along with Papuan. On my autosomal test I scored one percent Papuan as well it's quiet strange

I think it's a proxy for something in our North African ancestry

I also get Papuan (and occasionally SEA)on most test, but it is usually less than 1% unlike Caucasian which is usually arount 3%.

Well, my father and i, we never score Turkish. It could be related to my father's supposed egypto-sudanese side.
A lot of ottoman rulers didnt have turkish ancestry btw.

The Mamluks were Kipchak Turks while others were from the Caucus tho.Do you get Circassian and Turkic ancestry to the exclusion of your mother? For example my mother and I seem to have very minor Turkish ancestry to the exclusion of my father/other Somali samples and even tried breaking it down between Anatolian Greek & Turkic to see if it's real.

A lot of Nafricans have them, i'm mix but i have also these results with G25 and i think it's generally related to some east med/west asian ancestry in North Africans people, not necessarly from 'Uthmaniyyoun.

No because most North Africans score it

it can be a combination with Sardinian and a hint of Levantine for example to represent a component, an east med/west asian anatolian type population like as with the Imperial Romans for example, etc.
The Ottoman genomic imprint is existing but very weak in North Afri populations, and the Caucasus is present among almost Maghrebis.
