    Another paper on pressure microblades

Its a bit confusing does raise the complex issues of the appearance of pressure microblades in both north Ponitic cultures like Kukrek and Grebeniki and in full Neolithic cultures in south Marmara as well as the issue of the technique in northern Mesopotamia. He then inconclusively looks at the issue of pre-farming substrates in Anatolia and the possibility of pre-pottery Neolithic settlers. It sounds like more digging needs done to resolve this but its interesting nevertheless. My suspicion is that somewhere in that whole microblade zone all around the Black Sea an beyond in the period c. 7500-5500BC might be due to some common substrate predating the pottery Neolithic.

It is already in the library to which you have access. Went in 7 January 2014. So I suspect that this is one you came across before. If I came across it independently of your burst of research and forgot to mention it, I apologise.

Bear in mind that the pre-pottery Neolithic only applies to the region south of the Black Sea. Pottery arrived north of the Black Sea in the Mesolithic.
