This is unrelated to the article, but won't the leaked Sredny Stog samples make the conclusions of the Southern Arc study infeasible? 4200 BC sample from Ukraine which is very similar to Yamnaya_Ukraine. This suggests the Yamnaya profile formed before the Anatolian split.

Can you define which 'EHG' you used in modelling ? (there are different variants, - karelia, Sidelkino, Samara_HG, unfortunately different data genrating methodology too)

I've clubbed Karelia_HG (old and new ones) and Samara_HG.

Ok. Doesn’t Samara HG have a touch of CHG already ?

Also, IMO, Khva I0434 can bemodelled 2-way CHG + EHG. It is I0122 which needs some extra WSHG

Armenia BA is 1000 years younger than Khvalynsk. Then there is a 16,000 year old individual (AFG-3)
The is not an overly 'historic' model, very distal, fairly uninformative pRights
