Modern Nubians have Arabian admixture & extra Nilo-Saharan, it’s best to use medieval Christian Nubians. The Ja’alin from what I read are actually just Arabized Nubians. The Bataheen,Kababish & Baggara seem to actually be Arab tribes as you can find individuals in those tribes that are 40-60% Arabian

The Baggara, Bataheen and Kababish are also arabized tribes too. Some more than others but they all have a non-arab origin with the exception of some Kababish sub-groups.

It’s the other way around, the Arabs adopted a lot of local customs and non-Arab admixture.A Kababish individual who is 40-60% Arabian, identifies themselves as Arabs, speak an Arabic dialect and is probably dominated by Arabian J-P58 isn’t Arabized imo

The Kababish are very diverse so I'm willing to give you room there. But Arabisation in the case of Sudan just involves Arabian geneflow, cultural exchange and the linguistic replacement of indigenous languages by Arabic. But the other mentioned groups have clear origins and descent from Indigenous groups having intermarried with Arab migrants and gradually over time lost their language and became Arabic speakers and practicing Arab culture.

Thanks, this is what I was looking for. What is the Kakapel sample and what is it representing in this model. Also what are the EEF samples.

Don't most Natufian samples have passed on Autosomal SSA making it less reliable for a complete raw breakdown of the model. The results still interestingly deviate from cited studies. Do you have any idea why this could be?

Kakapel is a Dinka-like sample with minor Eurasian ancestry
