West Asian, East African, South Asian and North African aDNA Data (mtDNA and Y-DNA)

A new aDNA study was published on Pre Pottery Neolithic B sites in the Levant. New aDNA data is always welcome, but there still remains an absolute absence of data from areas to the east, such as sites located in what is today Iraq and Iran. Would love the opportunity to compare such data against modern samples from groups like Assyrians, Iranians, Kurds, etc.

Updating something I maintained on another website. Most of the data was taken from Jean Manco's useful site on aDNA.

I need to double-check the most recent update to the list against Jean M.'s page on aDNA.

I see a U4a2b. Wonder if there is connection with my grandfather's mtDNA. I haven't been able to find much info about this particular haplogroup/subclade in Western Asia so far.

(he is U4a2b too, but I shortened it to U4a2 because otherwise my other haplogroups wouldn't fit )

I'm late to this, but what's the name of the study that shows L2a1 amongst Neolithic and Bronze Age Levantines? I've seen only one study so far talking about Neolithic Levantines mtDNA, but it only mentions L3, not L2a1. I've seen many mentions of L2a1 on a few sites (this one included), but I haven't identified the study yet.
