mt U falls to near 0 east of South Asia so I consider U overall to be a Iran N related mt line.
But because its presence is very old in South Asia, it must have admixed with its AASI counterparts quite early.
Even the Rakhigarhi woman's U2b2 line is over 20000 years old

Around 41.5% (22/53) of Koraga tribals are U1 according to this study - https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC516768/
It's probably widespread among Dravidian speakers.
Apparently there are some upcoming samples from Tamil Nadu dating to around 300 AD/CE. Hopefully they will be out at some point this year.
In line with the the Protohistoric Period Cambodia sample.
"all these surrogates are from Southern India (Fig. 1), and the fraction of Southern Indian ancestry was estimated at 42–49% across all plausible qpAdm models"

Contrary to earlier findings, in that video, he says Rakigarhi lady has over 40% Andamanese-related ancestry. I knew then they probably had actual AASI samples for this sudden reverse. A couple of months later, they released the mtdna study of those two Srilankan samples. He says her Iranian related ancestry is 30-40%, Andamanese related around 40-50%, and the rest I am assuming is ANE related ancestry.
