CTS7141 subclade of S14328 - Ambiguous? HT35 Tree

I can not access FTDNA at the moment, So cant show evidence or confirm, but would ask the HT35 group to recheck the CTS7141 snp a sub clade of S14328, in "their" Y tree, I think it occurs in other clades and so may not reliable as a terminal snp.

Kits 227066 and 211617 from the ht35 project are positive for CTS7141. I can't access FTDNA either but according to Google, there are R1a1a and R-L21 individuals positive for it. I will check when FTDNA works again.

It is actually not uncommon that a mutation occurs at one and the same place several times in human history. That's why we have the point suffixes. For example M64 occurs in several haplogroups independently. If you look at the tree, you will see that it has a suffix of .3 in Z2103. Back mutations are also common.

I would hope that all testers after CTS7141 are found to be positive, My point only being it should not be considered as a group identifier or highlighted as a possible identifying snp. having now identified it in P312.

Just checked your HT35 project by searching the public snp page and you have 3 positive, the 1 you did not see was 273775 ??

Has this mutation been found in the BDNA samples below CTS7141 ??

This needs to be amended on the HT35 tree - there are members testing CTS7141 although it is a random mutation expecting this to be a terminal downstream of CTS4528 ?
