Quick map based on U152 percentages based on Lucotteetal 2015

    FWIW,

A quick map of U152 as a percentage of R1b.
    Lucotte.et.al.2015.jpg

And map of U152/S28 as a percentage of all y-dna haplogroups.

FYI, there seems to be some question in the above thread about the validity of this data.

Btw the percentage in brackets is the percentage of total R1b, not all haplogroups, so it's like 3.5% or so in London 2/56.
    Y-DNA: I1* (Ware, Hertfordshire)
    MT-DNA: U5a1b4 (Boughton Aluph, Kent)
    Father's MT-DNA: J1c8 (Wolverhampton, Staffordshire)
    Grandfather's MT-DNA: H1b (Littlehampton, Sussex)

Thanks, I updated my first post for clarification. I may go back and do another map with percentage of U152 of total Y dna haplogroups.

Ok, I added a new map to post 1 above of U152 as a percentage of all Y-dna haplogroups.

I'm not far from Grasse (the U152 hotspot), kind of weird to think that U152 peaks there. Personally, I think the frequencies are a bit off, to say the least. The U152 frequencies in Iberia are kind of intriguing though.

Based on previous studies I'm a little surprised at the low percentages for Turin, Milan, and Basel. Typically Northern Italy and Switzerland are U152 hot spots.

This paper does not pass the eyeball test It is so inconsistent with prior results, it's difficult to give an of the data credibility.
