R1a in the Volga Urals region

I recall the existence of some R1a among some Volga Urals groups like the Mari, Chuvash, Tatars, Bashkirs etc. Is it possible some of this is actually from Eastern Corded Ware (thinking Abashevo, Fataynovo-Balanovo) rather than later Andronovo and Slavic related expansions. are there any clues to what the people of the Middle Dnieper, Abashevo, Fataynovo-Balanovo people carried on the y side? or even the mtdna side?

And I'm still wondering about my R-L664 back there somewhere.
