Zahra the piron tumbon is not part of our national dress( not one you posted, just talking in general). Before the Taliban and mujahideen era only the extreme poor wore it. Now come and see...if you don't wear it people would automatically know your a foreigner *sigh*

Actually the guy in black is wearing one

It is a part of Afghan national dress unless you wanna call the blazer and trousers/slacks the national dress.
My elders who live in Afghanistan wear it with pride. My grandfather wore it, his brothers wore it long time before the taliban and the Mujaahadeins. My parents were in Kandahar recently and other parts of Afghanistan and guess what my father wears it all the time and according to him people still wear it and no one called him a foreigner and not boasting but he is not poor. Last time I was in Afghanistan, people wore it as well, I don't think things have changed dramatically within few years. The pattern on the front is Kandahari.

There are other types of Himachal dresses too but because of very less exposure, its hard to find them on internet.

my country is a relatively new country so excluding Native (Indigenous) peoples dress, we don't have a lot of what would be called traditional dress

Here's one of the local ethnic dress for my region (I'm not in this photo, however, more's the pity).

I believe my ancestry is Welsh, so here's some of that.

The coal dust and nearly-spent cigarette are essential to the outfit.

The photo of Miss Canada in the Miss Universe competition is especially good. Really fantastically beautiful women like that look good in anything. They never cease to amaze me and leave me awestruck, even as I float on down the river of time into looming old age.
