If you are going to use the OpenSource project R you might as well make a tutorial for Linux or Unix. Actually, if there was a tutorial, for Linux, I could root my Android tablet and run it within a shell or whatnot.

DNA.land will convert AncestryDNA raw data files to 23andme format and allow you to download it . I am guessing that would work but I am not sure.

I've decided to shift this tutorial from the Inquires Corner to the Autosomal section. A lot of people over the last few years have asked various developers of the calculators to run their data. I originally made this tutorial to try and help people learn how to do this themselves, in order to reduce the workload on others. Some of the larger component calculators can take upwards of 15 minutes just to run data for one person.

It seems not many people visit the Inquires Corner, so hopefully this can be better accessed from here.

When I'm home again, I'll recheck all the links.

    EDIT

I've updated the link for R. Everything else should work fine.

Is there any way to do mixed population sharings like in gedmatch instead of oracle-4?

I'm trying to get K47 info for my relative, I have their raw data courtesy of DNALand. But, when using R I keep on getting this data when trying to standardize said data:
Error in is.data.frame(x) : object 'X' not found

User on other forum (LINK) created way to run rawdata files for K47 DIY without using R! It should work for other calcs as well

    https://www.dropbox.com/s/nijc8zt5dr...InOne.zip?dl=0

Unpack it, copy your genome file to the folder, and run this command in CMD window

    Usage
    -----

    RunAdmixture.cmd GENOMEFILE.TXT ADMIXFILE.PAR ADMIXORACLE4FILE.TXT

    Example:

This test will run the K47 with Admix4 oracle (in other calcs replace it with relevant spradsheet and of course admix47 replace with relevant admix file).

    RunAdmixture.cmd genome_John_Smith_V5_Full_20180101000001.txt admix47.par k47-commas.txt

It seems it will even convert AncestryDNA files automatically!

Ok, so what command should I type? I'm not computer savvy at all and I already have a message stating the file is not there after I copied the genome to it. and I used the k47-commas, should I use dots? I'm still very confused here! I did it now over 20 times with the same message! Please someone assist!

    I'm typing RunAdmixture.cmd genomeThomsdata47.txt admix47.par k47-commas.txt adn it will not work!

When I am trying to use the Admix4_097 there are some problems, the application stops working and the generated output file is empty...
I am using Windows 10 operative system.
How can I fix this problem?

Sometimes the information is quite complex.
