    Mum's Ancestry results

    Hi,
    My Mum is half UK half unknown American and gets the following on Ancestry:
    Great Britain 65% (range 35%-91%)
    Ireland 19% (range 2%-36%)
    Europe East 8% (range 0%-16%)
    Europe West 5% (range 0%-21%)
    Trace regions
    Finland/North West Russia 3% (range 0%-8%).

    Compared to 23andme AC:
    69.0%
    British & Irish

    French & German

    Scandinavian
    17.2%
    Broadly Northern European

    Southern European

    Those are fairly standard British results for 23andMe. I suspect the American side is also British derived. Thirteen Colonies origin?
