    I'd be very surprised if FTDNA did not offer quite a few more SNPs in their version of an SNP panel/pack. I think the YSEQ version will be (is) very thorough and I'm sure of well-chosen SNPs.

    I'm not sure that the more important chore for FTDNA is just getting the haplotree updated correctly. This is not just a matter of updating a chart. Besides validating the data themselves, their changes update haplogroup labels on all of the project screens and your myFTDNA screen and matching screens.
