    Given that the remains are reported to have been cremated, retrieving DNA (especially Y if males) will be a good trick.

    GTC-I am guessing you meant 'cremated'

    as for getting DNA out of them, did they not just recently do that with the Philip of Greece & female remains found in the newly discovered cairn in Greece?

    I think some very clever folks have actually begun to be able to tease some dna info out of ancient burned remains-at least on occasion
