Looking at the Z253 project, appears to be a handful with a mix of Scotland mostly and then England and Ireland.

In reply to Richie, A14 is a branch of A16. The branching is Z253>Z2534>A16>A14. L643 is downstream of A14. A277 is at an equivalent level to A14, but may be an unreliable SNP. A276 (aka BY10) is probably positioned between A16 and A14, but may also be unreliable. There are at least four A16+ A14- branches, based on Big Y results. Only one A16+ A14+ L643- person has tested Big Y as far as I am aware; he has the surname Whitehead, ancestry English. Others who have tested A14+ and are thought to be L643- have the surnames O'Connor and Allen. Have you joined the R-Z253 Project yet?

I recently tested positive for R1b-....-A14, negative for L643. Oldest known forefather is one Jan (or Joan) Jansz Slooff (or Sloeffie). Born around 1550 in the area around Rotterdam in The Netherlands
