    I1 from Anglo-Saxon

The first published ancient Y-DNA from an Anglo-Saxon is I1-S107 (equivalent to M253).

Interesting article. Imo is consistent with a middle-of-the-road mass movement/invasion but no massive replacement, which sits the best overall archaeologically speaking as well i feel. Unsurprising though but glad to finally read it.

Interesting to have direct evidence of a Middle-easterner in Roman Britain as well, and of course a much more recent I1 aDNA.
