Here's the song Tri Martolod in the Breton language performed by the very easy-on-the-eyes Nolwenn Leroy.

Here's another Welsh folk song. I just heard it, but I like it, and I like the pic from the album cover that shows on the video.

Great thread! I have always loved Celtic music! It makes me think of my grandmother who was from Ireland.

I like those long-playing Celtic music thingies. I have turned that particular one on in the past and enjoyed it while I was monkeying around on the computer.

I first found the Corries when I went to Scotland ::mumble:: years ago; back then it was hard to find "real" celtic music more than what might be mixed in the "World Music" category. I found music there by Capercaille, Runrig, Mouth Music, and a band called Rare Air. Rare Air's last album was "Space Piper" and it had a jazz number that included the pipes. Silly Wizard and Steeleye Span are old favorites--Silly Wizard did an absolutely haunting song called "Hame, Hame, Hame."

A current Welsh band, Calan, who I was fortunate to see performing in London last November:

Tale of Two Dragons / Chwedl y Ddwy Ddraig - partly sung in Welsh

Gwdihŵ Shoes - some Welsh Step-dancing / clogging
