    Dodecad K10a

I think it would be interesting to compare the results of people who are members of the Dodecad project here or can download the calculator and run their results for this analysis. Here are my own results below from the Dodecad project.

    Atlantic_Baltic: 56.7%
    Mediterranean: 26.8%
    West_Asian: 12.2%
    Siberian: 2.4%
    Southeast_Asian: 1%
    Red_Sea: 0.8%
    East Asian: 0%
    Sub_Saharan_African: 0%
    South_Asian: 0%
    Palaeoafrican: 0%

I find it quite interesting that this analysis separates the Atlantic_Baltic component from the Mediterranean one. In other analysis these two components seemed to be combined together such as in K7b.

^Your results make sense given your ancestry I think. Thanks for sharing.

I am thinking that the Atlantic_Baltic component from this Dodecad K10a analysis may be the best one found so far that indicates ancestry inherited from the Mesolithic populations of Northern and Western Europe. On the other hand the Mediterranean component from this same analysis is probably the best for indicating true Neolithic type farmer ancestry in Europeans. You can see at K10a that the two majority components found among Europeans are the Atlantic_Baltic and Mediterranean components. All Northern European populations are mostly made up of Atlantic_Baltic whereas most Southern European populations are mostly made up of the Mediterranean component. What is really interesting is that the Basques and other Iberians are about half and half for each of these components. That is the Basques and other Iberians seem to be made up mostly of alleles relating to both Mesolithic (Atlantic_Baltic) and Neolithic (Mediterranean) ancient Europeans. I think this makes a lot of sense to be honest. At K12b the alleles that are mostly of Western European Mesolithic origin from the Atlantic_Baltic K10a are mostly swallowed up by the Atlantic_Med component. K10a actually separates these from the Mediterranean nicely. Obviously neither component is made up of 100% pure Mesolithic or Neolithic but I would say the Atlantic_Baltic component from K10a is made up mostly of old Northern and Western European Mesolithic alleles and the Mediterranean component is made up of old Neolithic alleles who's ultimate origins lie in the Near East.

    Thoughts on this anyone?

^Wow interesting to see such low Atlantic_Baltic scores for the Iraqi Mandaeans. I thought they would have scored at least around 2% or so.
