Hello,
I've made a command from Family tree dna for Y 37 test , to predict my Haplogroup, I am from costal Tunisia North africa (From Sousse my two parents), i would like to make especially a research of the Haplogroup J1-M267 as it is a near east signal in North africa, but you can of course be from an another Y haplofgroup common in this area (E_M81, J2-M172...)
So my question is :
After the Y 37 test will be completed, can i make a Snp test for J1-M267 even if i am not J1 Y haplogroup ?
I would like to research if i have trace of this Haplogroup in my genome .
Ps: I still waiting for the y 37 results and i apologize if the question is silly..

No, because the only Y-DNA you have is from your direct paternal line. There is no Y-DNA from any other line, such as your mother's father.
