It's been a while since I used that tool. I think this file was the one where I just told it to use the 23andMe file to fill in the blanks on the AncestryDNA file. I forget whether I told it to output in 23andMe format or Ancestry format, but it would have been one or the other.
Ancestry paper trail tally: 21.1% Colonial American (British Isles, German, Dutch, Swiss, French), 14.1% not traced past 19th Century United States (MD, NJ, NY, PA, VA), 7.8% Canadian (Ontario & Quebec), 40.6% German, 15.6% Czech, 0.8% British & Irish

Hi im sorry this is just thrown in. I'm wanting people's thorts on DNA tests. I did one to try give clue to my invisible granddad. I have nothing paper trail wise. So, I did one with ancestry DNA. The results was mainly British, northwest Europe and Irish. Kinda as expected as all living people are from uk and historic invasions etc.
But, out of curiosity I uploaded the raw DNA to other engines.
    Which then gave:
    Wegene shows 25% Finnish/west Russian
    DNA. Land shows 7.7% Finnish
Gedmatch varying amounts from 4% to 8% Finnish depending on the calculator.

So my question is do I carry Finnish DNA possibly from granddad or are 3 wrong against Ancestry DNA? Or is Ancestry wrong. It's not like it's varying a little bit because ancestry says 0% when I went back to look specifically for Finnish.

Thankyou for your time reading this.

    No changes.
And here my maternal cousin, amazingly he scores exactly the same amount of North Slavic, 55%:

    North Slavic 55%
    Northwest European 43%
    South/Central Euro 1.9%

For British people Ancestry is now very accurate but it messes up other rarer nationals and ethnicity. I used to get Finnish or Scandinavian on all of the tests but they are reducing the values gradually. To me if you are a Brit it just means northern.

Out of 64 pre 1800 births 45% Cheshire, 1% Irish (or Scottish), 25% south Derbyshire, 13% Burton on Trent area (where 4 counties within 10 miles), 7% Shropshire, 1% Staffs, 8% Lancs. So far all British Isles despite what some testing companies say.
