Talk about anticipation. I hope the coverage is halfway decent. I'd hate to see Crete Armenoi Part 2: Genetic Boogaloo.

I remember giving these samples a go but the amount of overlapping SNPs I could get with the standard 1240K set was puny and I don't think I was able to get above 5000 positions covered at best. I hope I was doing something wrong

EDIT: Seem like I wasn't far off, many of these seem to have 0 positions covered, most of them only a handful, the best ones seem MAN1 and SAR8 at respectively 5613 and 8167 positions covered.

What a bummer... I'd love to have seen those Greece Mesolithic samples in good coverage.

I would be cautious BUUUUT it seems like the samples in the other dataset have at least more reads (no knowledge if the overlap gets better).

Unfortunately, there's zero overlap with the Global25 SNPs.

At least now you have all the Margaryan Viking paper samples to play with

Any news on upcoming papers? Wasn't there a 100k ybp migration to thee Levant and Arabia? Will we ever get DNA from that?

Not yet, because I can't see the genotype dataset anywhere. The authors have just released the BAM files at this stage.
