In about 2010 I tested with 23andme, and they gave me a Y-DNA haplotype of R1b1b2a1a2d*. I have read that with changes in the ISOGG table, this haplotype is no longer valid. Does anybody know what it would be with the latest ISOGG table?
I uploaded the 23andme results in 2013 with FTDNA, which said that my predicted haplogroup is M269. In addition when I search online for R1b1b2a1a2d* I get web pages speaking about U152.
So what is the relationship between R1b1b2a1a2d*, U152, and M269?
R1b1b2a1a2d = R-U152. That's just a shorthand version. R-M269 is way way upstream of U152, and tells you almost nothing since most R1b's are also R-M269.
In 2016, R1b1b2a1a2d is R1b1a1a2a1a2b.
You tested negative for anything downstream of U152, hence the asterisk. And it seems there are quite a few of you.
