    L277 back on the table?

I just got word from FTDNA that they are pretty comfortable with their new primers for L277. Readers may remember this SNP was discovered in 23andMe test results, added to ISOGG's tree, and then removed when the FTDNA primers proved troublesome.

Because of its location, I can't swear that the marker is now trouble-free. But I'm comfortable suggesting that L23+ L51- men give it a try now.

I see that two instances of L277+ (as well as L247+, originally found in Hg O), have also surfaced in Hg I2.

Yes, L277 was part of both the I and R trees before ISOGG removed it.

Received a message from Peter about this today. Good news. Thanks for the post. Hope to test a couple of Assyrians for the SNP(s). One of them is from 23andMe.
