Hi folks,
my 23andme results:
maternal: U5B2A1
paternal: R1A1A
my Geno 2+ results:
maternal: U5B2A1B
paternal: R-CTS11962 (which I believe is R1a1a1b1a1b)
I was wondering - is it the same and/or is the geno 2+ result just more detailed?

You should upload your 23andMe mtDNA results to James Lick's mthap web tool, it might give a more specific subclade. Also, if mthap identifies any extra mutations I can compare them to the U5 project samples to see if I can place you in one of the proposed new subclades.

@GailT , that tool gives me the same maternal haplogroup which I have with Geno 2+. So everything seems to be fine.
