Unfortunately I can't reveal my source because they are probably reading this forum, but I can assure you it's reliable.
Interesting, but what exactly is "Hellenistic Greek" in the genetic sense?

Does this imply that the Latin of Rome was indeed a bastardized form of Aeolic Greek as some ancient Greek authors claimed?

I think you mean the opposite : the romans were italian beaker + mid neolithic and etruscan were mycenean like....seems more likely to me.

Hellenistic Greek and Mycenaean are from different time periods.

Ryu reported Imperial Era Romans plotted with modern south Italians, Sicilians and Greeks, so at this stage I doubt it.

Exactly....romans ( but better say latins) technically cannot be "hellenistic" because hellenistic period postdates the foundation of Rome of something like 400 years.....

Someone's lying, and it's not the fault of probably late republican to pre-Constantine Greek ancestry. The rest should be called Byzantine. The Latin)o-Faliscan Romans should be Central European Beaker derived Italics plus Etruscan (whatever the origin) and Continental Celtic-related, and including other Italics of course.

We can only speculate about the genetic structure of Latin-Faliscans and Etruscans because we lack the evidence.

OK, you're right. that was a mistake. they (i.e. Romans) had predominantly "Classical" Greek origin:
