I also forgot to include in my list the Crown Eurasians that are neither Eastern nor Western but something else entirely or maybe "undifferentiated" Crowns: Ust Ishim, Oase, and Bacho Kiro.

Oase1 is actually like Goyet more than anything.

Couldn't those be mixed between West and East explaining where they plot?

What are the chances that WHGs already existed 30,000 years ago? When you see their position in the PCA, you wonder how the hell they got there? XD They are so far north that they seem to have received no influence from anyone, while Goyet and other pre-WHG Europeans seem to be "mixed".

How do the uniparental markers jive here? So far pre WHG Europeans are C and K. Maybe some F or IJ* will pop up.

Something like WHG such as a proto-WHG is said to be ancestral to Dzudzuana, so maybe. The answer probably lies in the Balkans in the 30,000 to 20,000 ybp timeframe.

I'm sure something ancestral to it existed that we haven't found yet. They probably just cluster where they do because of drift. All our Villabruna clade samples are very late compared to the UP samples from other clades so there's been a lot of time for drift compared to the Aurignacians et al. Think also of where East Asians plot relative to Tianyuan and the Australasians. And even where Amerinds plot.

Imteresting, based on stats you've run?

I don't think so, but you'd have to ask somebody with more stats knowledge why that can be ruled out.

Couldn't the Aurignacians (like Kostenki) just have drifted a certain way? I think Yana has Aurignacian and East Eurasian.

What do you mean by this? That Kosenteki was mixed and drifted to appear West Eurasian like? Forgive me if that's a dumb question.
