    Interesting Paternal AncestryDNA Results

Yesterday I received back my dad's and nan's (paternal side) results, and they are both very interesting.

One of the big surprises for me was the Pacific Islander for my nan?!

What I do think is interesting is that both my nan's scored very low GB (4% and 6% respectively) and my dad's high East European.

The Pacific Islander is just a trace, you probably don't have it.

It is interesting to see how these are broken down. I wouldn't place too much importance on the trace regions as they are a bit hit and miss IMHO.

Although.. on gedmatch I do have a match with a pitcairn islander so perhaps I shouldn't dismiss it as readily as that.
