    R1b* P25 in Tunisia

I have convinced a Tunisian friend to buy a 23andme kit, he got his results back a few weeks ago. Frankly I wasn't expecting him to carry such a basal subclade of R1b (R1b* P25 according to their lab).
I suggested him to test with ftDNA but since I am not an R1b expert I don't know which test he should buy.

    What do you suggest ?

Y-dna37 + Big Y would be nice since he apparently belongs to a rare subclade of R1b.

There is one known branch in this area of tree
    ISOGG: R1b1c PH155, F2482, PH200, PH491, PH861, PH885, PH1030, PH1165, PH1187, PH1417, PH1554, PH1769, PH1840, PH2150, PH2274, PH2588, PH2675, PH2768, PH2778, PH2813, PH3272, PH3508, PH3516, PH3826, PH3939, PH4174, PH4622, PH4673, PH4796, PH5173, SK2056, SK2058, SK2060, SK2061
It is a little more developed in my tree. Please see here.

In FTDNA there is only 1 BigY tested sample from this subclade - M10098 (ADEL . ., Bahrain) (YF05838 in YFull).

Thus, there is only 1 useful test in FTDNA for your friend - BigY. A second BigY tested sample will allow us to build a new ISOGG branch with hundreds of new SNPs.

Could be Vandal descendant with such subclade?

Why should a Vandal carry R1b* which is mostly found in Persia and the Arabian Peninsula? That is completely made out of thin air.
