My line is the bottom left of the chart ...........the european ( CTS8489 branch )

Funny how the european branch from L446 moved nicely with time into other subclades.........the Persian group stalled for 6400 years after breaking from L446 ..........I find this very unusual

A paper remarked that T ( ydna ) comes from the eurasian plate...........this excludes India, Anatolia and the Arabian peninsula.........but the remainder is still a huge area, I think they refer to only the Persian-Tibet-Burma Orogeny zone only

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eurasian_Plate

Hallast (Nov 2014). The Y-chromosome tree bursts into leaf: 13,000 high-confidence SNPs covering the majority of known clades

Vettor, I updated the tree with Z19945 branches.

The Persian branch is not "stalled" but just their upstream branches still are undiscovered. We should wait for more YFull participants and further papers testing more world regions.

Actually, the origin of T could be anywhere between North European Plain and Eastern Himalaya. But I would bet for somewhere around Black Sea and Caspian Sea

I am thinking about this as well............more caspian than black though ................it fits with the L haplogroup around the Caspian, who T was once in union with.

    So I agree with you

Ftdna map states south afghan for beginning of T .................but I always found these maps had many errors

All FTDNA maps are too outdated. None is working on them
