I have a made up surname like other Turkish people. There is no such a long history about Turkish surnames, Turkish surnames has been created in 1930's and given to the Turkish citizens by a lottery system.

By the way, i believe my paternal grandma's maiden name could have Armenian origin and my maternal grandpa's mom's maiden name (already known) was Croatian-Bosnian surname and i have searched quite a time and Serbs don't have this surname, only Croats and Bosnia Herzegovinans have.

They weren't always called that, of course, just took the name of the holding (of the Longfords and Masseys/Masceys, possibly by way of the Gresleys/Greeleys, later the Mosely/Mosleys) from the 13th century or previous. May have Norman connections, but I am doubtful. Probably just lucky (and handily obliging, numerous in the male line, and violent) peasants.
Who knows where they were originally from. Before surnames and the like newfangled conceits?
yDNA (yay!) and some of the usual semi-mythological "histories" (boo!) point to somewhere in the midlands, in the triangle of Lichfield, Burton-on-Trent, and Leicester. One branch may have shifted theirselves up Sheffield way, by way of Derbyshire (but wrong side of the Pennines).
Which explains my partiality to Burton, and their bloody good beer.

I am not aware of any story, but what I know is that people with my surname and within my community are all over. Ever since the 1305 Mamlouk campaign/massacre at Keserwan (north-central Lebanon), my relatives dispersed to Northern, Southern and Eastern Lebanon, and they're few.
