The calculator does not give a good ethnicity breakdown. We are all showing up as Sindies - Person from Assam, Punjab, UP, Bengal all of us are more than 70 percent Sindi , I wonder who is indian then?

I think its quite accurate on the East Asian averages, not sure about South Asian and European as I cannot be 1.22% Hungarian!!

@Jorita : 1.22 percent is a trace amount, anything under 5 percent can be neglected but then again this calculator is showing strange results. I wonder if it really would show somebody as more than 50 percent Indian?

I thought that it tended to overestimate the East Asian components - Bengalis scoring 16-20% seems high compared to 23andme showing 3-4% for the same group.

If you see the Bengali SE Asian is higher which is linked to Austro-asiatic, however the Chinese Ethnic Groups scores are not that high. I think they are quite accurate in estimating East Asian ancestry even though the groups might not be perfect. People who score high Dai such as Vietnamese on Dna.land are scoring very high Southern Han Chinese which might be similar to Dai

Good point, though I still score 10% Chinese. Low specificity perhaps, but acceptable sensitivity for East Asian?

It includes Tibeto Burmese and Austronesian groups, which seems to be fine for you.

Reza, your wife and I seem to score the highest bengali, interesting that your wife has origins in assam. Not sure whether their Bengali sample is more Assamese orientated
