23andme new designation for U152 and L2

For some strange reason, 23andme now refers to all R-U152+ and R-L2+ tested individuals as PF6570.

I've been involved with U152 for over 4 years and had to look up what PF6570 was. Many of us are quite familiar with the "S28" designation for U152, but how many of you knew PF6570 is a third name for U152? It's not even mentioned as on the FTDNA U152. project page.

A quick google search of the terms "U152 ydna" "S28 ydna" and "PF6570 ydna" illustrates the use of each term

U152 ydna 41,500 google hits
S28 ydna 4,800 google hits
PF6570 ydna 228 hits.

What are they thinking? Something like, "I know, let's be different and pick the SNP name that no one ever uses, or knows...that will confuse everyone". PF = Paolo Francalacci. Maybe 23andme has to use his SNP designation for some reason.

On top of this, L2+ men are now just lumped in with the rest of the U152+ men. I don't get. That's two steps backwards. I sent them a message asking about it but never heard anything back.

Update; 23andme has changed the designation from PF6570 to U152. I commend them for making this change to a more recognizable/well known name for this mutation.

They changed me from r1b1b2a1a2d3a long form (old) to short form R-L20 (downstream of U152 and L2) on day one.
